Call for Abstracts
The One Health Congress invites abstracts, session concept notes and workshop proposals addressing innovative research, policy, and practice across human-animal-plant-environment interfaces.
Submissions are welcome under the following themes:
1. Climate change, Environment, & Ecosystems Health
Climate-ecosystem-health linkages; climate-driven shifts in disease dynamics and geographic spread; extreme weather and health risks; oceans and polar systems; pollution and planetary health; nature-based solutions and ecosystem restoration.
2. Biodiversity, Wildlife & Pathogen Interfaces
Biodiversity loss and health impacts; zoonotic spillover drivers; human-wildlife interactions; wildlife trade, food safety, and gender dimensions; tools for zoonoses surveillance.
3. Food Systems, Agriculture & Plant Health
Food security and nutrition; plant and crop resilience; agroecology; sustainable livestock; food system resilience; foodborne disease and biosecurity.
4. Pathogens, Microbiome & Intervention Strategies
Pathogen genomics; microbiome science; transmission dynamics; cross-species vaccine platforms; novel tools and data-sharing initiatives; non-pharmaceutical interventions.
5. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Environmental and other AMR drivers; cross-sector surveillance; stewardship and regulation; financing and IPC; innovation and AI for AMR mitigation.
6. Data, Technology & Innovative Analytics
Integrated OH surveillance; AI, remote sensing, big data; environmental sampling; risk prediction, early warning, and decision-support systems.
7. Knowledge, Education & Communities
OH education and workforce development; Indigenous knowledge; community-based prevention; behavioral and societal determinants; youth and early-career leadership.
8. Governance, Policy & Legal Frameworks
Global treaties and policy tools; OH Joint Plan of Action; justice and equity; community rights; global OH initiatives and governance innovations.
9. One Health Implementation & Financing
National and multi-national OH strategies; enablers and barriers; implementation case studies; public–private partnerships; financing mechanisms, ROI, and true-cost accounting.
10. Preparedness, Resilience & Economic Evaluation
Pandemic, panzootic, epidemic and epizootic preparedness; response systems; mental health and societal resilience; economic evaluation of (integrated) interventions; biosecurity pathways.
11. Biosecurity, Biosafety & Global Health Security
Biosafety and biosecurity across settings; “dual-use research of concern” (DURC); security in fieldwork; geopolitics of global health; conflict impacts on health and ecosystems.
12. The critical role of the private sector in One Health policy
Private sector leadership in surveillance, innovation, and supply chains; industry partnerships for preparedness and AMR; (co-)financing and investment models; corporate responsibility and ESG alignment; technology-driven OH solutions.
