Rumbidzai Gondo is a dynamic Global Health and Sustainability Specialist based in Harare, Zimbabwe, with over eight years of professional experience across the UN, MSF, and international agencies. Operating at the intersection of environmental conservation and public health, she is a dedicated advocate for the One Health framework, the Biodiversity-Health Nexus, and sustainable development.
Rumbidzai holds a Master of Science in Global Health from the University of Copenhagen and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Human Development from Colby College. Her technical expertise spans health system strengthening, ESG consulting, circular economy principles, and environmental policy advocacy.
Currently serving as a Technical Advisor and Youth Representative for the Nature 4 Health Technical Advisory Group, a Steering Committee Member for the Zimbabwe Youth Biodiversity Network and a member of the CANZIM, Rumbidzai bridges grassroots initiatives with high-level environmental governance. Her career includes impactful roles as a Research Assistant with Doctors Without Borders in Cameroon—co-authoring a study published in The Lancet Psychiatry—and as a Programme Officer with UNFPA in Zambia.
Recognized as a prestigious Robert Bosch Foundation Scholar and an accomplished scientific writer, Rumbidzai has presented her work at high level international forums, including the Convention on Biological Diversity meeting in Kenya, the World One Health Congress in South Africa, and the Water Code Seminar in Zimbabwe.
