Bio 
Dr. Koketso Desiree Mazwi is a microbiologist, researcher, and Project Manager in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Tuberculosis at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. She holds a PhD in Veterinary Tropical Diseases from the University of Pretoria and has extensive experience in microbiology, One Health research, zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, molecular diagnostics, serology, and genomic epidemiology.
 
Her research focuses on zoonotic infectious diseases at the human–animal–environment interface, with particular interests in brucellosis, tuberculosis, antimicrobial resistance, and One Health surveillance. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at national and international scientific conferences. Dr. Mazwi is also involved in postgraduate supervision, research project management, and training of students and research teams in microbiology, biosafety, and One Health practices.
