Barbara joined in 2020 the World Organisation for Animal Health, where she is responsible for the development and management of the capacity-building programme, aiming at providing assessment and guidance to Members for improving the sustainable governance and management of Veterinary Services and their leadership in health systems, in line with the WOAH standards.

Through the PVS Pathway and the Training Platform, with the CBD staff she promotes innovation in country-led services and in learner-centred training, to empower both institutions and individuals to welcome cultural and operational change, including the One Health approach. She is a capacity-building manager, with 37 years of experience.
