Julian is the One Health Coordinator and senior programme officer at UNEP’s Ecosystems Division. He joined the Ecosystems Division in early 2017, where he has helped develop and implement UNEP’s role in the One Health Quadripartite, the Nature4Health Fund and the Wild Biodiversity Economy, as well as initiatives to improve human-wildlife coexistence using participatory and systemic approaches. He previously worked on elephant conservation, running the CITES programme for Monitoring the Illegal Killing of Elephants and managing IUCN’s African Elephant Database. Early in his career, he conducted research in molecular neurobiology. He has degrees in neuroscience and ecological management and monitoring.
